Apple introduced the new iPhone OS 3.0 today, from the 100+ features they talk about here are some of the few most relevant and wished for features:
- MMS: Send photos, contacts, audio files, and location
- Copy/Paste: copy, cut, paste in all of the apps
- Bluetooth Stere0: listen to wireless music! (finally) A2DP (not on iPhone 2G)
- Push Notifications: notifies of new email, sms, ims, all sorts of things
- Peer to Peer: play games with other iphone users, send contacts
- Spotlight search: search throughout the iPhone via a single spot
- iPhone tethering in the future: working with carriers for this feature
- Youtube Integration: accounts, subscriptions, rating vids
- itunes account creating: don’t have an itunes account yet? create here
- exchange calendar support: create meeting invites and better sync
- vpn on demand
- notes sync: sync notes saved on the iphone to your pc/mac
- wifi-auto login: auto login to wifi at home or work
- anti-phishing: in safari
- autofil; forms in safari
- new detailed stock app: detailed view of stocks
- voice memos and notes: record voice notes, lectures, interviews, etc. Works with internal or external mic — editable and sharable.
