I downloaded the new version of EOS Movie Recorder which lets your Canon 40D record video, this time on a Mac. So I downloaded it and installed it, but it would crash right away. Soon I found out, you need certain frameworks, in order to make the Application work. So here is what I did.
• I download this file, QT Source
• Go to the Packages folder in the DMG, and install Libraries and Plug – Ins
• Connect your Camera, and Fire Up the Applications, and record some awesome videos.

After doing an extensive search on the net ive found the link i said was dead has been moved.
Apparently nokia is a sponsor for this. and the updated framework for QT is in
http://qt.nokia.com/downloads/mac-os-cpp
or just go into
http://qt.nokia.com/downloads
and download the frameworks only link for mac. Ive tested this out on a 2006model mac pro with 10.6.1 Snow lep + custom 4890 ati 1 gig
So im guessing everything should be good on you guys.
Anybody know where it saves the movieclips?
thanks!
You have to target it to save in a certain area, but it either saves the movieclips in your home folder or your videos.
Can I use this on iPad?
