So I’ve been following the rumors all-around for the amazing Tablet device that’s going to revolutionize this space with a contender that’ll simply take names and kick some solid @$$.
We’ve been speculating and contemplating what this amazing device is going to look like with 10s of mock-ups by all the great designers out there.
But it’s really going to be called the Apple iPad Tablet, as noted here, here, and here, and oh here too! not to mention this one
In March 2009, Apple officially announced iPhone OS 3.0, the upcoming operating system update to the 2.2.1 software currently running on iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod touch, and second-generation iPod touch hardware. A beta version of iPhone OS 3.0 was released soon thereafter, showing off many of the disclosed “consumer” features of the new software, as well as a number that had not yet been mentioned by the company. In late March, 2009, a second beta version was released, and additional features were uncovered, including some that turned to be available only to users of the iPhone 3G S, the “third-generation” iPhone that Apple officially announced on June 8, 2009, and will release on June 19, 2009.

Bad News for the people who planned to pre order their new iPhone, and didn’t want to camp out in front an Apple Store. For the people who are making new pre ordered of their iPhone 3G[S] will have up to two weeks to get a phone. AT&T customers who do already have pre-orders in still have to line up at 7AM to nab a phone, but at least they’ve got a guaranteed slot if they show up, while the rest of the world will have to battle over remaining stock when Apple Stores open at 8AM and AT&T stores open to general customers at the same time. Looks like we might get a good riot or two out of this.
This is not a story about Steve Jobs or Apple (AAPL).
It’s not even a story about a Steve Jobs rumor.
It’s a story about a nasty piece of work called Palluxo Media, based in Vancouver, B.C., that just stooped to a new low.
As an online news outlet, Palluxo.com is all over the lot. Its current crop of stories includes pieces about Jewish and Bosnian genocides, Cuban spies, an Acapulco drug shootout and a David Carradine forensic photo.
But it also bills itself as Canada’s “Mac Dose of All Things Apple,” and that’s how it caught my attention last February, offering dubious investment advice (”it’s highly likely that the stock’s best days are over”) just before Apple began a 40-plus point march from $99 a share to more than $140.
“You fell for Palluxo?,” wrote “cynyc” — one of my regular readers — when I cited that quote as an attempt to spread FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) about Apple. “That site only exists to promote the agenda of Apple shorts [speculators betting that the stock will go down].”
I thought my reader was being overly cynical, but the recent history of Palluxo’s Steve Jobs coverage suggests he may be onto something. Continue reading “The Weirdest Steve Job Rumor yet”

Microsoft’s latest advertising campaign, while more stimulating than the Seinfeld/Gates spots, has one goal and one goal only: sell PCs. Microsoft’s endgame, it seems, is to persuade people into purchasing Windows-running PCs by leveraging the fact that Macs are more expensive than PCs. As you all know lately Apple just made some great news about the New iPhone OS 3.0, and its exciting features, well some people are moaning about how they have these features all ready, or they are making up useless info, which makes no logic sense, but is used to cover up half the errors made by those phones. Yes, the iPhone does have many bugs throughout its OS, but none to the extent of Windows Mobile based phones. I mean, does it matter if you have a flash light on your phone, a 5mp camera(which I wouldn’t mind), a infrared receiver.

The much-criticized BMW iDrive central control dashboard has been updated to its fourth version, and it seems that this time they have got it right. Abandoning the previous compass-based user interface, the new iDrive adopts the hierarchical vertical menu system of the iPod, mixing it with an interface similar to the Xbox 360. Apart from the faster navigation this provides, they have also included new features to make it faster and more useful. Continue reading “Xbox 360 + iPod = Bmw iDrive 4.0”
